SleeveUp

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 June 2026

1. Introduction

SleeveUp ("we", "our", or "us") operates the SleeveUp website at sleeveup.app and the SleeveUp mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and username. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from those providers.

Collection Data

We store the cards you add to your collection, binders you create, and related activity. Guest collection data is stored locally on your device until you create an account.

Usage Data

We may collect information about how you access and use the Service, including your device type, browser type, pages visited, and the time and date of your visits.

Analytics

We use PostHog, a product-analytics platform, to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it — for example which pages are visited, which features are used, and where users encounter problems. PostHog records usage events together with an account or anonymous identifier, your device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this only for our own analytics; we do not use it for advertising and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Analytics data is processed on PostHog's EU infrastructure. On the web, before you respond to the cookie banner we only record anonymous, aggregate visits — no cookie or other identifier is stored on your device, and no analytics event is ever linked to your account. If you accept analytics cookies, we additionally store a persistent identifier so we can recognise repeat visits and, once you are signed in, link events to your account. You can turn analytics off entirely at any time in Settings → Preferences → Privacy.

Cookies

We use cookies for authentication and session management. These are essential cookies required for the Service to function. We also use analytics cookies (see above), which are only set after you give consent and can be withdrawn at any time; declining or withdrawing consent stops the cookie but does not stop anonymous, aggregate analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.

Social & Community Data

When you use social features, we store your follow relationships, activity feed events (such as cards added to your collection), and any community content you post. Your username, display name, and public profile are visible to other users by default.

Card Scanning

When you use the card scanner, we access your device camera to capture an image of the card. Images are processed on-device using OCR to identify the card. Images are not stored or uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly save a scanned card to your collection, in which case only the identified card data (not the raw image) is stored.

Push Notifications

If you grant permission, we collect your device push token to send you notifications. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

Location Data

If you grant permission, we may collect your approximate location to show nearby shops and events. Location data is only collected when you actively use location-based features.

Giveaway Entries

If you enter a giveaway, we collect your account information and any entry details required (such as confirmation of eligibility criteria). This data is used solely to administer the giveaway and is deleted once the giveaway concludes.

Third-party Pricing Data

Market pricing shown in the Service is sourced from publicly available eBay UK listings. We do not share your personal data with eBay. Pricing data is fetched on our servers and served to you; eBay does not receive information that identifies you as an individual user.

  • Other users: your username, display name, and public collection/profile information are visible to other users
  • Legal authorities when required by law or to protect our rights

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use AWS infrastructure in the EU (eu-west-2) region. While we implement appropriate safeguards, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
